In Conjunction with World Alzheimer’s Day, Sabah Alzheimer’s Disease Support Association (Sabah Az) jointly with KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital will be organizing the first local Memory Walk on 20th September 2015. The walk itself will be be about one kilometer. Participants may walk any portion of the route and will not be obligated to complete the entire route. It is opened to patients with Alzheimer’s disease, the caregivers and the public.

The theme is “REMEMBER ME” and it is dedicated to caregivers and their loved ones living with dementia, and remembering those who have passed away. it is also meant to raise greater awareness of this rapidly growing disease and reduce he stigma that surrounds dementia. Guest of Honor, YB Datuk Jainab DSP Haji Ahmad Ayid, Minister of Community Development and Consumer Affairs, will flag-off the walk.
